We’re looking for an experienced Collections Specialist, who has worked in Excel/Data Analysis/Skip Tracing to join our ever evolving Collections Team to help us unleash the potential of every business.

About the team:

 

As Worldpay grows, our need for a skilled and seasoned collection team grows. Being a player in the payments processing industry requires a savvy team of experts who can easily navigate delinquent accounts in accordance with departmental, investor, and legal guidelines, ensuring attainment of company goals.

 

**This role is hourly plus a monthly incentive plan!**Resolve delinquent customer accounts through various means, e.g., skip-tracing, written correspondence, inbound/outbound phone contact (standard/ automated dialer), and securing arrangements for payment

 

What you'll own:

• Engage in weekly/monthly meetings with internal/external stakeholders 

• Monitor the aging of customer receivables and takes corrective action to resolve open accounts receivable balances on a timely basis 

• Resolve customer issues and complaints concerning billing/settlement 

• Submit regular reports on the status of unpaid accounts and any repayment progress 

• Support other accounting positions as the need arises 

• Great verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate in a persuasive and professional manner 

• The desire and ability to work independently and manage a workload that contains time-sensitive tasks, which means you will also have to manage and prioritize problems effectively while contributing to overall team goal achievement 

• Business-to-business (B2B) experience desired 

• Technical skills including Microsoft Office, Salesforce, Billing/Collections software preferred 

• Update customer files to ensure data integrity 

• Ensure the processing of payments 

• Document all customer payments to the right reports 

• Other duties as assigned by the manager 

What you bring:

• High school diploma or GED required

• Prior collections experience, preferably in a business to business setting

• Experience researching/diagnosing problem accounts escalated with internal/external stakeholders

• Experience mentoring as a subject matter expert, supporting other collections associates with daily activities

• Technical skills including Microsoft Office, Salesforce, Billing/Collections software preferred

• Great verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate in a persuasive and professional manner

• Intermediate computer navigation and operation skills

• Ability to work independently and in a team environment

• Demonstrate effective people skills and sensitivities when dealing with others
