Chicago-based Worldpayers owned their impact and volunteered with the Special Olympics of Illinois to kick-off the annual Spring Games in Dunbar Park.
Worldpayers assisted 1,500 Special Olympic adult athletes with their track and field, standing long jump, and softball throw competitions. The athletes train year-round with the goal of earning a medal at a local competition like this, so they can advance to the national competition.
Our volunteers captured the scored and distributed the awards, but most of all spent the day promoting inclusion, building courage and fostering joy with the athletes.
