About the team
As a Payment Optimization Senior Analyst, you will enhance and optimize payments approval rates through data-driven strategies and analysis. You will work with our commercial teams across Asia to understand the payment performance of our customers, whilst collaborating with a global team of experts across other regions, our Product & Engineering functions, and global subject matter experts to drive improved commercial returns for our merchants and Worldpay.
What you’ll own
As a Payment Optimization Senior Analyst, you will enhance and optimize payments approval rates through data-driven strategies and analysis.
You will use predictive modeling, statistics, trend analysis and other data analysis techniques to construct models and analyses that explain or predict customer payment performance changes and solve a variety of business problems related to payment performance with actionable recommendations to relative stakeholders.
- Uses predictive modeling, statistics, trend analysis and other data analysis techniques to collect, explore and identify right data to be analyzed from internal and external sources.
- Assists relationship managers and customer success managers with finding patterns and relationships in data.
- Builds predictive models using data, tests the model on results outside of the sample size and verifies model in real world.
- Enhance and optimize a merchant’s payments approval rates through data-driven strategies, analysis and value-added service recommendations.
- Utilize advanced data analytics techniques to proactively identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for improvement.
- Collaborates closely with cross-functional teams including product, engineering, and finance to implement solutions.
- Set up dashboards and other visualization solution to enable automated and manual monitoring of payment approval metrics and develop actionable insights to drive performance improvements.
- Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in payments processing and fraud prevention.
- Implement risk mitigation strategies while maintaining a seamless customer experience.
- Proactively and effectively interacts with other internal groups throughout Worldpay.
- Shares knowledge with other members of analytics, optimization and commercial teams
- Evaluates and improves internal tools and processes.
- Projects may include testing strategy development for marketing initiatives, supporting product lifecycle decisions, evaluating product utilization, supporting fraud detection, etc.
- Other related duties assigned as needed.
What you bring
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or alternative STEM subject, or the equivalent combination of education, training, and work experience.
- Possesses strong understanding of internal business segment (stakeholders) and presentation skills.
- Typically requires experience in relational database structures, research methods, sampling techniques and system testing.
- Proficiency in working with large-scale business data sets, fluent in scripting and rapid prototyping skills including expertise in one of SAS, WEKA, SPSS, as well as one of C/C++/SQL, Perl or Java.
- Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, PowerBI)
- Splunk knowledge is preferred but not required.
