Deliver high-quality software by participating in all stages of the software development lifecycle and ensuring continuous quality and testability of code through the use of automated testing and frequent regression validation
Build and sustain a culture of quality at the source by collaborating with developers and stakeholders to recommend and apply automation-driven practices that improve code quality, test coverage, and overall system reliability
Improve application performance and stability by conducting impact analysis, identifying effects on regression test suites and code testability, and proactively reducing risks that may negatively affect continuous testing
Develop, maintain, and enhance automated testing frameworks, test suites, and scripts, ensuring seamless integration with continuous integration, deployment, and delivery pipelines for consistent and repeatable execution
Create and execute unit and component-level tests at the source code level to detect hidden defects early, strengthen code structure, and improve functionality, performance, and maintainability
Design and implement testing strategies that support early and frequent validation through test-driven development and behavior-driven approaches, enabling faster feedback and improved development outcomes
Build and evolve testing tools, frameworks, and utilities that validate and verify software functionality, including testing of APIs, web services, and non-user interface components to simulate real-world usage
Establish and maintain automated testing environments by configuring continuous integration frameworks, managing test data and scripting, and ensuring consistent reporting and visibility into testing outcomes
Ensure system resilience by performing and analyzing performance, load, and security testing, while identifying bottlenecks and optimizing system and database behavior under varying conditions
Enable testing in complex environments by leveraging service virtualization to simulate dependent systems, supporting validation when integrations are unavailable or difficult to access
Drive adoption of best practices by working with stakeholders, developers, and test teams to design detailed test plans, conditions, and cases, and ensure proper execution and validation of test scenarios
Act as the primary point of contact for test engineering activities on assigned projects, coordinating testing efforts, prioritizing execution, and providing clear feedback to stakeholders and clients
Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Information Systems, or other technical field (or equivalent experience)
Minimum 4 years of experience in software testing, coding, designing, or developing
Experience building and maintaining automated test suites and frameworks
Strong ability to perform unit and component testing at the code level
Experience working in Agile environments
Master’s degree in Software Engineering, Information Systems, or other technical field
Minimum 6 years of experience developing automated testing strategies across environments and frameworks
Experience with performance, load, security, or service virtualization testing
